August 23, 2008 76 Grand Street, New York Deitch Projects presents a night of video, music, performance, and animation curated by video artist Takeshi Murata. The program will consist of eleven new videos by the most interesting young video artists who are part of Takeshi’s community. Immediately following, Nate Boyce will present a live video and audio performance, and Robert Beatty will present a live audio presentation. The final part of the evening will consist of animations by Adam Beckett. Adam Beckett created a body of incredible animations in the short time from 1972 to 1975. His films have all been recently restored, though still only available on film and unfortunately never released on tape or DVD. This will be the New York premier for many. Amazing American independent animation from the early 70s.
